Patty Pan Cooperative Salsa Label
I designed this hand-drawn label for the Patty Pan Cooperative's Smokey Ancho salsa. Patty Pan is a Seattle organization that sells food at farmer's markets. I wanted to make a a label that is consistent with that feel. I created several iterations of the design.
The label was drawn by hand, scanned and manipulated in Adobe Photoshop.
In designing the label, I sketched out several fonts and layouts. I was primarily inspired by comic artists Farel Dalrymple and Esther Pearl Watson and visual artist Margaret Kilgallen. In the end I went a different direction and loosely based my design off of a decorative rum bottle.
